Our Story

The Health Law Roundtable is an annual continuing legal education conference and ski retreat for healthcare attorneys. The format is built around the mountain day: breakfast and a CLE session in the morning, skiing through the afternoon, a CLE session with appetizers in the evening. The substance is health law. The setting is the slopes.

The conference is governed by a volunteer board of practicing healthcare attorneys, not a conference management company. Programming is selected by attorneys who try the same questions in their day jobs: Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, healthcare M&A, telehealth and digital health, FCA defense, AI in healthcare, and the regulatory landscape after Loper Bright. The conference has run annually since 2020, pausing only in 2021.

The audience is small by design. Past attendees include partners at boutique health-law firms, in-house counsel at health systems and digital health companies, government attorneys, and senior associates the board has personally invited. The roundtable format keeps conversation candid in a way large conventions cannot.

The 2027 conference will be held January 28-30, 2027 at Viewline Resort Snowmass in Snowmass Village, Colorado. CLE credit is pending in 13 states.
